[part of it is her just being who she is, but it actually does take some effort to convince herself it's okay to show them what her eye looks like now. the picture that comes through next is a close-up of her face with her patch taken off. the glass eye that's in right now is mostly just black, but the obsidian is cracked in various places and filled in, kintsugi style, with spiderwebs of silver and gold.]
