[Eren likes knives. That's all Mettaton knows he likes, aside from the tidbits of pleasant visions that he yearned to see, but ones he'd never described to Mettaton save for... utter decimation, he supposes. Not very gift-able!
But who doesn't like Mettaton??? Eren does not get a knife. Instead, he gets a replica of Mettaton's arm, signed in the most PERMANENT pink sparkly paint by MTT. If Eren's going to be such a fan of Mettaton (so much so that he wants to ("oh") eat ("my") him), he could at least facilitate his desire over yearning for his arm!! Mettaton is a generous man.
(The arm is not as complex as his is on the inside, or else it would actually be useful and need to be kept as a potential replacement.)
The hand of his hose-like arm is holding a business envelope, dusted in glitter. There's an invoice inside. "Principal loan of 8,499, with a non-cumulative monthly interest rate of 5.61% . . ." It's written very formally, and demands the total amount of 11,359 cunes as of mid-Deceuer. It's racking up, Eren Jaeger!!
...In the envelope is also a small note. It's an offer for dinner, Mettaton's treat. He does know that, ridiculous overtures of mocking gifts aside, he'd like to do something at least nice for Eren, and he wants to feed all of the attack on titans Eren likes beef and bread. The note makes a playful jab at eating real food and not, "I don't know, people or robots!!!" ...Hopefully Eren can read this, because while Mettaton had the foresight to talk to Mikasa directly, he forgets that Eren also wrote in some absurd foreign script.]
