[This is one of those instances where you're not sure what to say to someone. He simply didn't know enough about what was going on, and Sully was clearly upset. Who wouldn't be, after experiencing a vision like that]
Y-Yeah, we'll let you know if we find anything.
[he doesn't want to promise that they will. All his tricks for gathering intel worked for the waking world. Mysterious dreams...that was outside his usual scope.
But ah, he sees the affectionate gesture towards Eren. She really was fond of him.]
