Except now that he's here, he feels his nerves spike up. Oh no, how was he supposed to start this off? What if Eren mad at him? He'd been kinda planning on knocking on Eren's door to give himself time to prepare. But here he was---]
[ it felt . . . a little weird, knowing that he was coming and waiting all the way up there when he had offered to go in the first placeā it would feel like hiding, or running. there had gone elliot, doing the thing eren had done himself plenty of times. the tables turn indeed, and the spike of nervousness was shared. it was dumb. eren could smack himself all over again.
mad at elliot, far from it. mad at himself, closer. when he looks up to see him approaching, he exits out of the retrospec app and pockets his phone, standing immediately. heās not mad at him. itās obvious he isnāt. he doesnāt shrug him off or lead him to the elevator wordlessly. he just sort of stands there at first, awkwardly even, but blue eyes are still as soft as theyāve always been for elliot. ]
. . . Hey, [ he says as he presses his lips, the elevator button and theyāre on their wayā slipping right in and everything, but one thing is hard to change: the hand that wants to guide him, centered into elliotās back. ] I couldāve gone instead.
I-I didn't want to make you spend gas. [He says as he follows him to the elevator, feeling that hand on his back as always. It's comforting, in a way. As if it reassures him that he's not mad at Elliot for being so bold.] And it sorta loses effect if I had just had you come to me.
[Eren's not a dog. He doesn't need to come to Elliot when he called him. Sometimes, it was good for Elliot to go to him.
Looking up at Eren, there is one clear difference about Elliot's appearance: his green eyes are back. Instead of gray, they shine brightly with their old color]
[ he could have rolled his eyes at the first bit, but heāll definitely stay quiet with the secondā he wasnāt angry and no anger had been directed at him, but that didnāt mean he wasnāt still internally apprehensive. outwardly. it shows in his silence, looking down, counting the floors, letting ambient christmas music make some better noise. heās abnormally quiet, being talkative now just felt fake. in the process, he doesnāt seem to notice, not right away (maybe he didnāt look hard enough, distracted from his own thoughts, or i, owlie, completely forgot like a dweeb), but when he feels elliotās eyes on him for too long, he looks up, tries to smile, looks back down.

[It still gives him butterflies in his stomach, watching Eren look at him in such a way. It's probably not too different from the looks he gives Eren, but it still feels so humbling. Eren cared for him so much, he can only hope to try to live up to what Eren sees in his eyes.
He feels that hand take his. It feels so gentle, even a little cautious. As if Eren is trying to apologize for something. Elliot responds by smiling and giving the hand a firmer, loving hold as they both head inside the apartment. It had been a bit of an awkward ride, but now they were here. The place Elliot considered home away from home.
Elliot should probably say his piece now. The piece he thought over the entire ride over. He stalls for a moment, waiting for Eren to close the door. He'll dig into his coat pocket and pull out his phone]

but when eren turns, elliot was already speaking before he could, causing him to keep holding it. his heart jumps when the phone is held out, and looking between the other and the device, with lingering hesitation, he reaches for it— it says eren. he can already feel his throat tighten up, seeing the first photo and wanting to sit, motioning for the couch.

[He'll approach the couch with Eren, sitting down on the edge of the seat while his hands clasp together in his lap. He stays quiet for a bit while Eren looks through the photo album, watching his expression as he goes through the photos. ]
I-I saved them to a cloud, so I can download them anywhere and look at them anytime I want.
[And he did look at them, often. Anytime he was feeling down, the album would always help him feel a little better. He had other albums like this- for his brother, for his cousins, for his friends in NYC- even a growing one for his roommates. But it was fair to say this album got the most use. [ erenās eyes dart to the last picture and elliot, soon turning his attention to him completely when guided to, with a touch, blinking while lips undo back into a flatter line compared to the curves. elliotās almost glowing with that smile, becoming a welcoming fire on a chilly day, warm enough that eren feels heated from the inside outā until he might as well melt completely.
he was stupid, stupid stupid stupid to have misinterpreted that from the start. elliot has to keep repeating himself, but . . . he doesnt to undo what he just heard, what made him light up, on fire, and make his heart feel like it was flying on its own. that didnāt feel like a confession between them. he knew it was true, heās . . . always known and always felt it mutually, a strong bond in too many aspects to only be described as friendship. he was in deep and he wanted to be, the way he manages to smile so wide, so wide is what speaks for him first, lips parting to say something while his hands, both of them, reach up to cup nearly all of the sides of his neck until fingers curl to the back of it, his thumbs over the contours of his jawline and to the cheeks. ]
Me too. Elliot . . . [ he knows he knew that, too. ack, just look at him. heās completely fallen. he wants to say so many things at once but nothing else really seems to convey it like right now. beautiful green eyes . . . ] I donāt care about anything else.
[ itās decided and heās reaffirming it for himself, a strong touch of truth it now, a lot more than what was once insecure. he shouldnāt be caring about other petty things. he doesnāt kiss him yet, but instead, simply pulls him forward to press their foreheads together. he remembers something, and gives a quiet hush of a chuckle through his teeth. ]
I canāt imagine one without you now. I really canāt. [ heās not trying to be corny or romanticā maybe thatās what saves him, when it comes to the heart in what he means. itās why he internally freaked out, why he worried, for as short of a time as it was. ] But that doesnāt justify worrying about it like that. Not when I know how you feel.
[It wasn't really a confession, not in Elliot's mind. It was more just vocalizing what they already both knew to be true. Ever since that first summer together, Elliot's been helplessly attached to Eren. It was a bond like no other.]

[ it was equally satisfying and flattering, that heād go out of his way to simply remind him. it meant he had enough consideration and worry for him to still be around. cool and dashing bodyguard. the thing that made his heart skip the first time and he figured itās just a compliment, and still, inwardly wanting for it to be something else. and here they were now. his ears never fail to go red.

eren gives a light laugh, it was true. that just came with the package of feelings of adoration, else you . . . probably donāt really like them. it was part of any relationship and even strengthened it. eren just hope he can keep that at a healthy level. protective as he was, he didnāt want to be that guy. ] You knowā the minute you start feeling that, or if you feel like youāre cagedā Iād want you to end things. but that was the whole point. erenās answer is enough to be felt with the way he smiles against the kiss, holding it and returning. there was one thing missing, though; who knew taste would be making a difference. he parts his mouth a little to deepen, to at at least get the best of his other senses like his smell, from erenās nose to his cheek, and touch, from his hands on him, one brushing through his hair in a gentle rake while the other encircles around to pull him sidewaysāand to his lips, of course. even with it gone, heāll still make it a good kiss. ]

A kiss without a sense of taste is...well, it's surprisingly weird. The kiss isn't bad per say, feeling the texture of Eren's lips, smelling Eren's scent, the feeling of those hands on him as he pulls him sideways - all of that felt good. But the lack of taste was still something getting used to.

Eren's reaction to his singing makes him a little giddy. Watching his face melt into that soft smile, those starstruck eyes that stared down at him. It was an incredible expression, and there are a bit of glee in knowing he was the one to cause it.
Next thing he knows, his face is being pulled up and he's locked in a passionate kiss. Even without taste, it's easy to tell the intensity Eren is putting into it. Long gone are the timid days of unsure kissing with Eren, it seems. Not that Elliot minds. He returns the kiss with ease, trying to match the level of passion that Eren is putting into it. but that was the whole point. erenās answer is enough to be felt with the way he smiles against the kiss, holding it and returning. there was one thing missing, though; who knew taste would be making a difference. he parts his mouth a little to deepen, to at at least get the best of his other senses like his smell, from erenās nose to his cheek, and touch, from his hands on him, one brushing through his hair in a gentle rake while the other encircles around to pull him sidewaysāand to his lips, of course. even with it gone, heāll still make it a good kiss. ]

A kiss without a sense of taste is...well, it's surprisingly weird. The kiss isn't bad per say, feeling the texture of Eren's lips, smelling Eren's scent, the feeling of those hands on him as he pulls him sideways - all of that felt good. But the lack of taste was still something getting used to.
Still, he'll go along with the kiss. He'll shift closer to bring himself as next to Eren as possible. His own arms will slide over Eren's shoulder and to around his neck, bringing him closer to the other.

Eren's reaction to his singing makes him a little giddy. Watching his face melt into that soft smile, those starstruck eyes that stared down at him. It was an incredible expression, and there are a bit of glee in knowing he was the one to cause it.
Next thing he knows, his face is being pulled up and he's locked in a passionate kiss. Even without taste, it's easy to tell the intensity Eren is putting into it. Long gone are the timid days of unsure kissing with Eren, it seems. Not that Elliot minds. He returns the kiss with ease, trying to match the level of passion that Eren is putting into it.
