[With the demonstration done, he'll lower the staff and walk back over to the phone. There's a clunk as he sets down the staff and gets in front of the screen again. ]

Eren? You okay?

[ DONT MIND HIM HE’S JUST REGAINING A LUNG. All red in the face for a completely different reason this time, Eren hammers his chest with a fist, finally swallowing whatever was left of a disaster and smiling through watery eyes. Breathing a little harder, he picks up the phone, shaking his head and out of breath. ]

I’m . . . [ He shakes his head and gives it a dismissive wave. Don’t worry about him. He just— he can’t stop smiling. ] Holy shit. That was. Can you— [ erratic hand gesture! ] Do anything else?

[That's some reaction Eren. He looks a little worried but at least Eren is smiling so that's good right...he's probably not the type to die with a smile on his face.]

I don't know! Probably? [He smiles a little at Eren's smile as he pushes one of his bangs out of his face] There was this book, or notebook, that came with my stuff...it looked like it had instructions? But I haven't read through it all yet.

Between all the smiles and the surprise that a magic so brought, Eren's almost out of breath with his regaining inhales. No more jerky for him. He even chuckles, removing his cap to wipe his forehead. ]

And you thought you couldn't do anything. [ He was going to drop by to see him later anyway, but now . . . There's no other option!! ] You gotta show me later.

Heehee. [Elliot positively beams as Eren says that. He's right. Now that he had magic, maybe he could do something. Maybe even look out for Eren as much as Eren looked out for him, somehow.]

Okay! Are you free tonight? [oh right he had forgotten but-] Oh, and do you like roses?

[ did you mean: make sure eren doesn't get killed when he tries to punch a monster

his mouth opens, about to answer, but out comes a near sheepish smile, surprised. roses . . . ]

I guess. Never really stopped to notice them much, actually. [ But they're very pretty, especially the light yellows. Flowers in general were pretty nice to look at, especially those wild ones, but he hadn't much of a preference. He does look curious, but he answers the first question, foremost. ] About being free— finally get to say yes.

[ This hasn’t been the first “date”, but— it almost feels like it all over again, with the skip the inside of his chest gives. He’ll have to wonder about the roses and how he got so many, but . . . With a hand to his head then slipping down to the back of his neck, he nods To the meet up and the roses:. ]

It’s a date. [ Oh, and— ] I can show you the things I got, too.

[He sucks in his breath a little, feeling a flutter of excitement that Eren agreed. A date- he actually agreed to a date. Sure, they were technically already dating- but still!]

Heehee, okay! It'll be show-and-tell! [He's curious about what Eren got, but he can wait.] Just text me when you're on your way okay?

[ eren gives a two finger salute in agreement, taking the phone back in his free hand. his mind’s already dashing at the thought— he’s got more than one thing in mind to bring along with him . . . Thank God for Mrs. Jaeger’s baking. ]

[He'll return that gesture with his own little wave. May already be wracking his brain for ideas for tonight]
