As soon as the shop attendant notices, Elliot will smile and start ordering. He orders two cones: a strawberry ice cream for himself, and a type that he knows Eren likes. While the attendant grabs the cones and start scooping up the ice cream, he'll explain to Upsurper:]
The cones are edible too, you eat them at the end. And you'll want to eat the ice cream at a good pace because it'll melt, but not too quick because it might give you brain freeze. So...lick it instead of trying to swallow it whole.

and a thoughtful, almost faraway glance. he almost forgets to talk, but when he does close his mouth and swallow. ]

usurper keeps the taste of chocolate— something unbelievably good, colorful and foreign to his taste buds— as he watches elliot. his eyes then go from elliot to the ice cream, then to the counter, then to the people coming in, then the people walking outside. they’re all . . . lively, and most are smiling. he’s not sure to what extent this was all a dream too perfect to be real. there were no walls, no apparent hardships or suffering, not a pinch of war-like aftermath.
it was all really, really peaceful. after a stretch of silence, usurper finally speaks up thoughtfully; it’s not so much detached as it is . . . longing. ]
[Just seeing his reaction to everything made this whole side-stop worth it. He knew he'd be getting his memories back soon, but he still wanted to show that there were wonderful things in this life. It wasn't just buses nearly hitting them or people acting like he was crazy.]
