[ Well, would you look at that. All it took was an extra minute to look at that before Eren actually gets beeped at. Light is green, light means go, right, he's going! The view of his infamous reddening ears are right there for you to see, humming something of a growl that gets betrayed by his lips, small as the quirk up was from frowning. ]

[ Eren stays a little quiet from that small stretch on, but it's nothing too bad. Maybe just trying to compose himself and remember why he was actually here, doing this. Right, it was to spend a good evening with Elliot, do something nice and quiet— no cat cafés, but something . . . Perhaps a little more Eren. Driving to one last light that he actively attempts to get in front of the line for . . . The road stretches for a while. That's a massive straight.
And in all that silence, Eren seems to be playing with the exhaust just a little. Vroom. Vroom. She's still as agressive as he is, look at those snarls. Is this safe? That might be questionable, but Eren seems to know the limits. ]
[It doesn't connect why Eren looked at him so long he nearly missed the green light, but at least he's willing to get off the subject of that girl. The beeping and Eren's growl makes him give a small amused sound in response.
As Eren drives, Elliot will settle back into his seat and go back to looking out the window, watching things pass by the window. For how cautious Elliot can be about stuff, Eren playing around with the exhaust? Doesn't seem to bother him at all. In fact there's something of a small grin on his face while he does it.
But yeah probably good call about the cat cafes. Elliot only really knows that place because his roommate and brother. Probably not the people Eren wants to run into tonight. ]
[ You really should hold on, then. Eren's attention is at the light now, only waiting, waiting, waiting, adjusting his grip on the wheel and flicking the music up just a peg higher—until the minute green flashes.
He told you!! He'd take you speeding!! The car's motor roars as he steps on it, asking for everything the gear can give him until he switches. They sure went from 0 to 80 in seconds flat, and it only keeps climbing.
[And they're off! Elliot's hand immediately goes to hang onto the dashboard as Eren starts to speed up. Faster and faster they go. The grin on Elliot's face only grows from the adrenaline rush and he lets out a happy laugh]

[Also don't mind him as he reaches over and turns the music up even louder. STUFF LIKE THIS REQUIRES LOUD MUSIC OKAY]
[ Speeding cars, adrenaline rushes and very good music— Elliot's reaction only makes him grin as he takes them up to 110, 120, 140-! Nyoom! Where he has to slow down for the turn up ahead soon, he does, letting off on acceleration and lightly tapping the breaks. The car no longer roars, but she grumbles as Eren rides the rest of the momentum like a wave losing power, but it was good, very good while it lasted.
Well, onto part two. He chuckles to himself, exchanging quick glances as their speed normalizes, and easing back into his seat as well. Nothing gets your chest pounding quite like that, and he's more than happy to see that there was mutual enjoyment to it (imagine if he freaked out, ack). ]

Anyway, it might be too dark (and partially creepy) to go into the woods at this hour, but Eren figures he could just stop around by it. He wasn't purposely thinking towards anything romantic (what that), but a place that's quiet, nice, and private. Anxiety was already rocketing with the thought of it being just the two of them, imagine with extra eyes.
The car slows to a stop as he pulls up on one of his favorite hills to start a hike. It's got a view of Recollé shining farther out, tons of lights— but the best view was probably above them, where the sky was brighter than it really made out to be at night. The stars are crazy, and the moon is the natural light it's supposed to be. Pulling the safety break and turning the car off, ready to click his door open. ]
The place I told you about. [ He gestures outside. ] Best spot is the hood.
[He wasn't sure the destination Eren was planning on. Maybe a gas station to refuel, or somewhere to eat. He hadn't been expecting him to stop on a hill in such a scenic spot. He stares with wide eyes as he takes in the scenery]

[He immediately gets out of the car, completely stunned at the view around him. The city skyline, the moon, the stars -- this is the sort of scene you see in a movie, or on a pretty picture. But to see it with his own eyes....]

[He'll move to sit on the hood of the car, taking in the entire view. He almost wishes he had brought a notebook, so he could start composing right here and now. But he stops himself, it was important to live in the moment]
[ The ultimate symbol of freedom: the sky (and it even comes in flavors). Eren watches where he stands at first, hands in his pockets as he starts trekking toward the hood once Elliot's already there. Honestly, he's a little relieved it's getting positivity— he's pretty sure it's something of a rare spot these days, but even then? Something told him Elliot would've liked something like that, thinking back on inspiration.
Stretching his legs forward and leaning back, the airman gives a look up as well, a view he's seen many times and never gets tired of it. ]
And it's always there, [ The sky, the stars, this huge ass canvas and the fresh scent of nature untampered, the way it's meant to be seen, at least, the way he likes to see it. Even the crickets here are so much louder, chirps of bats and clicks of other nocturnal things humming around them. ] most people just don't know how to see it.

[Following Eren's lead, he'll lean back to help get a better view of the sky. It was mesmerizing. So many stars twinkled in the sky- way more than he'd ever see back home. These are the same stars that inspired countless musicians, countless artists. With a view like this, it was easy to see why. ]
